Here’s the first of several photos I’m going to post taken last year during the rehearsals for the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic games.

It was incredible being an eyewitness at close hand to logistics. No-one seemed overly worried about my being on the track, and the photos were taken with a Sanyo Xacti camera in photo mode.
