About fourteen years ago I wrote a review of ‘The Glass Cathedral’ for my then-webzine ‘Misfit City’. This week I dug it up again, gave it a trim and polish, and reposted it in the blog version of ‘Misfit City’ which eventually replaced the website. I have trimmed out some of the fluff and dubious wordage from the original version (referring to the Kronos Quartet as “transgressional” was a malapropism too far, for instance) but otherwise it’s much the same as it was: still engrossed and enthusiastic.
