Mixing it up

May 17, 2010

Please do not put your coffee mug here. Thankyou.

Hard at work in the studio dubbing two different films – one for National Geographic, the other a slightly hush hush PBS series… I could tell you more, but I can’t.

The image above is the dub engineer Rob at LipSynch tweaking something that goes BANG. I love my job…

I’ve been watching BBC 4’s lovely series on maps recently – The Beauty of Maps – and had the slightly unnerving experience of wondering why I recognised some of the music.

Turns out it was mine. (Was on the the verge of wondering out loud who could of written something like that – not in a good way… ooops). Well, see what you think…

haha —-> ‘turns out it was mine’ :). I like the music on the video and also I would like to commend you on your fascinating blog. TV would not be without its musical minds!

Hi Philip, was wondering whether the soundtrack to ‘Sergio’ will be appearing on Spotify at some point? The three tracks available on soundcloud are fascinatingly beautiful. Many thanks

That looks mighty impressive! With what kind of software are you mixing and syncing? Nice how the text “heart cut out” comes together with the rise of the celli… Ms Pernock should speak a little bit slower on 1.13 sec 🙂
