Seven pieces of postclassical music and electronica, recorded with friends at Abbey Road Studios and released with Audio Network in April 2023: plucked and sustained strings with synths, piano, harp, electronic patterns and gentle tuned percussion.

A lullaby like waves across a sea of sleep. “I asked the musicians to breathe extra deeply while recording. As musicians we tend to hold our breath.”
Rain Begins
A gentle pastoral piece with an electronic pattern bouncing underneath, a trip-hop feel that comes from Philip’s work with UNKLE.
Walking in the Lodge
Waking to jasmine and honeysuckle on the morning breeze, with solos written entirely from slides.

Glass-like water disturbed by the smallest ripples, built on a cycle of fifths.

I Give You This Earth
A journey through the turning night sky, dotted with satellites and meteors, from a fascination with space that began with the Apollo astronauts of In the Shadow of the Moon.
